[IMPORTANT INFORMATION: in order to participate to this activity, it is necessary to have participated to a previous activity with us with a positive elevation gain of more than 1000m or to proof you have a similar experience on your own. This way, we can assess whether your current fisical condition corresponds to the requirement of this activity. ] 

The plan

This magnificent circular journey will allow us to discover one of the most beautiful areas of the Aragonese Pyrenees: the National Park of Ordesa y Monte Perdido (the lost mountain). The goal of this journey is to ascent to the top of the highest limestone mountain range in Europe at 3355m.  Are you in for this adventure?

Here is the program: 

Day 1: arrival at Torla, visit of the village, check of the backpacks of all participants. 

Day 2: way up to the Shelter of Goritz (2200m)

Distance: 13,5km ; Elevation gain: +1178m -328m

Day 3: way up to the summit of Montse perdido (from the Goriz shelter)

Distance: 8km ; Elevation gain: +1160m -1160m

 

Day 4: way back to Torla. 

Distance: 12km ; Elevation gain: +300m -1137m

Difficulty: High (experience in hiking from 7 to 8 hours a day is required woth gain of altitudes of 1000 -1500m+).

Total distance: 33,5Km

Total elevation gain: 2638m +

How do we get there? Sharing private cars from Barcelona. In the booking process, we will ask you if you have a car and how many people can go with you. Each passenger will pay the driver €25 to cover gas and car costs.

Accommodation and meals: 

We'll spend the first night in a comfortable hostal in Linás de Broto (shares rooms with bunk beds). We'll spend the next two nights in the designated camping area at the Góriz shelter, located at 2200m, in the heart of the Park and surrounded by postcard landscapes. Even though we'll be sleeping in the tents, we'll have access to lockers and hot showers in the shelter and will have breakfast and dinners seved in the shelter. Optionnaly you can request them to prepare a picnic for the next day (recommended +€13 per picnic). 

What to bring: 

Mountain footwear (vibram-type sticky sole, with goretex-type waterproof membrane and with a cane that protects the ankles is highly recommended)

Sun protection (glasses, hat, sun cream and lip protection) 

Mountain clothes suitable for high mountains (breathable and comfortable)

Waterproof jacket (required)

Fleece + down (or synthetic) jacket (even though it's summer, you have to take into account at this altitude, it can be quite very cold)

Gloves, hat and buff 

Spare clothes to change in the shelter

Headlamp / flashlight (spare batteries)

Sleeping bag

Tent and camping mat (optional: you can rent that material for 10€ at the shelter)

Picnic and snacks for the 3 days (unless you choose full board for the days at the shelter) 

Water (1,5L)

Walking sticks (highly recommended)

Towel and flip flops

Backpack + backpack cover (40-45L approx.)

First aid blanket

Basic first aid kit

Maximum of participants: 8

Transportation from barcelona: € 25 to the driver to cover gasoline and car expenses

Lunch Picnic (optional: 1 in the hostel +€9,50 and 2 in the shelter +€13 per day)

Additional expenses in the shelters (extra drinks, etc.)

Expenses caused by the abandonment of the route for any reason or expenses caused by changes in the route for security reasons (transfers, changes in shelters, etc.)

Cancellation policy: 

If you cancel up to 30 days before the activity, we'll send you a voucher so that you can use 100% of the down payment for any further trip.

If you cancel between 29 and 8 days before the activity, the payment of 50% of the total value of the trip be required. In case of last-minute cancellation (less than 7 days), the payment of the total value of the trip will be required.

Covid19: in case of being positive for coronavirus or having to quarantine for having been in contact with a positive, we'll send you a voucher so that you can use 100% of the down payment for any further trip (presenting medical documentation). In case of official mobility restrictions implemented by the government, a 100% refund will be made.
