What is ENTIRE COSTA BRAVA 220km CHALLENGE?

Here is a plan we've been thinking about since a long time. Let's hike the complete trail along the wild Catalan coastline: the Camino de Ronda! From its start at Roca de Sa Palomera in Blanes to its northernmost point in Portbou, there are more than 220km. We're going to go through it in several weekend stages! You can sign up for all the stages to complete the full challenge but you can also sign up for the stages that suit you best depending on your availability.

About these 2 stages: Blanes to Sant Feliu de Guixols

On day 1, we'll start at the southernmost point of the Camino de Ronda, at Roca de Sa Palomera. This rock formation that harbors a viewpoint on top is considered the beginning of the Costa Brava. Traveling along the Camino de Ronda heading north, we'll discover the wonderful coves of the Costa Brava until we reach Tossa de Mar. In this charming walled town, we'll enjoy our afternoon walking through its old and we'll spend the night in a nice hostel in the middle of the town.

On the second day we'll keep on going for the sedond stage of our challenge and we'll continue along the Camino de Ronda heading north until we reach Sant Feliu de Guíxols. There we'll take the bus back to Barcelona.

Difficulty: easy-intermediate. Routes between 6 and 8 hours each day. The distances are pretty long but the gain of altitude is reasonable. 

Day 1: from Blanes to Tossa de Mar

Distance: 24Km (max) 

Elevation gain: 550+

For the first day we have planned several escape points along the route in case someone wants to save energy for the next day.

Day 2: from Tossa de Mar to Sant Feliu de Guíxols

Distance: 18Km

Elevation gain: 550+

Accommodation: We'll be staying in Tossa de Mar, in a pleasant hostel in the middle of the town. We'll sleep in double rooms with single beds and private bathroom. 

If you want to stay in a single room, please contact us so we can inform you. (supplement of approx. +30€/night /subject to availability).

For meals, each one will bring their own picnic. For dinner, we'll optionally offer you to go to a local restaurant (each one will pay for its own food and drinks).

How we'll get there? As it's a linear and not a circular hike, we'll go by public transport. To get to Blanes we'll go by train from Barcelona (6,95€). We'll return from Sant Feliu de Guíxols by bus. The cost of the bus ticket is €10 if you want Yepalo to buy the ticket for you with a special discount (if you prefer to buy it on your own it costs €15,7 through the website: https://compras.moventis.es/online/search ).

 Insurance in case of accident+CL. 

Do not include: transportation + meals.

Nor does it include any expenses related to abandoning the route in the middle of the day.

If cancellation till 72h before the beginning of the activity, 50% will be charged. If late cancellation (less than 72h before), full payment will be requested.
