The plan

The Picos de Europa is one of the largest limestone formations in Atlantic Europe, with significant karstic processes, obvious glacial erosion and the presence of lakes. All these ingredients make it a very interesting destination to come and enjoy incredible landscapes.

We'll discover some of the most impressive corners of this mountain range such as the Covadonga Lakes, Fuente Dé and its spectacular cable car, the bucolic town of Bulnes, the approach to Naranjo de Bulnes or Pico Urriellu, the highest of the entire massif , the route of the Cares river, with its crystal clear waters and being the most spectacular gorge in the entire National Park, among many other options!!

YEPALO will decide the exact location of the hikes based on the weather conditions for maximum safety and comfort of all participants. 

Difficulty: Moderate.

From 5 to 8 hours hiking each day. We will walk from 10 up to 20km with a positive elevation gain from 400m to 900m.

Accommodation and food

We'll be staying in a nice country house (only for us!) very close to the picturesque town of Potes, one of the most beautiful towns in Spain.

The house has rooms with 2, 3 and 4 single beds, 3 complete bathrooms, an equipped kitchen, and a garden with a barbecue.

There is the possibility of individual room with a supplement of €150/6 nights (depending on availability). In this case, please contact us so that we can inform you.

It will be an amazing trip in which we will have the opportunity to cook together and share unforgettable moments beyond the routes that we will propose.

We'll buy groceries together and cook together (unless you prefer to buy and cook your own meals). Some evenings, we can also decide to go eat at local restaurants. (optional). 

How we'll get there? 

Sharing private cars. When you sign up for the activity, we will ask you if you have a car or not and how many people you could take.

Each passenger will pay €115 to the driver to cover gas and tolls expenses. The idea is that the driver do not have to pay anything for transport. In the case that the real costs of transport are not covered by the passengers contribution, Yepalo will pay the difference to the driver.
