Nature photography for beginners in "la Garrotxa". Autumn weekend in Besalú

Why and for whom?

This photography weekend is designed to learn different photographic tips and techniques in order to capture autumn at its best. Learn to observe the light and colors that this special season offers us.

How to use light in each capture? What composition is more accurate for a detail in nature? How can we take better pictures inside a forest?

This weekend is aimed at anyone who loves nature and wants to learn (or improve) their photographic process. Enjoying the space and knowing how to observe what we want to photograph is essential, therefore, we must learn to interprate the environment and understand it to know what we can photograph and in which way.

The plan On Saturday we will go to Sadernes, a natural space in Alta Garrotxa, where beautiful waterfalls, holm oaks and oaks abound. An especially beautiful place where the rock walls will accompany us all the way.

In the afternoon, after squeezing every last beam of light, we will go to our hotel and review some of the images of all the participants in order to see the different results of each one.

After dinner, for those who still have energy left, we will go to photograph the emblematic Romanesque bridge of Besalú at night.

On Sunday we will visit another emblem of La Garrotxa, a beautiful beech forest that hides places with a lot of charm.

After lunch, we will walk through a humid forest near Hostalets d'en Bas, where the water of the river will be the main character in our images.

About the hosts: Adriana: Photographer specialized in landscape and travel photography. She is a photography teacher at the IEFC school and a freelance photographer. Read more here. 

Martí: certified mountain guide (TD2) and amateur photographer.

Accommodation and meals: We’ll be staying in a beautiful 3-star hotel perfectly located in the heart of the Romanesque of La Garrotxa, just in front of the Romanesque bridge of Besalú. We'll sleep in double rooms (single beds) with private bathroom. Breakfast is included.

Language: all the activities will be given in Spanish. However, all team members speak English and will be able to assist if you need clarification.

How do we get there? Sharing private cars from Barcelona. During the booking process, you'll be invited to let us know if you have a car, and how many people can join you. Each passenger will pay the driver €12 to cover gas and tolls.

Advance payment: €95 (the remaining amount is to be paid in cash on the first day)

- Do not include:

• Transportation: €12 to cover toll and gasoline expenses.
• Anything else that is not specified in the “Includes” section.

Maximum participants: 10

Cancellation policy:

If cancellation till 72h before the beginning of the activity, 50% of the total amount will be charged. If late cancellation (less than 72h before), full payment will be requested.

COVID19: In case of being positive for coronavirus or having to quarantine for having been in contact with a positive, 100% of the down payment is refunded (presenting medical documentation). In case of official mobility restrictions implemented by the government, a 100% refund will also be made.
