This way, we can assess whether your current fisical condition corresponds to the requirement of this activity. ] 

“La Pica d’Estats” is one of the most exiting peaks to climb for many people. With its 3,143m height it is the highest summit of all the Catalan Pyrenees, it is our Everest. Located in the Pallars Sobirà region, this mountain is the dream of many mountaineers. The route runs through high mountain terrain, with the corresponding landscapes you can find at those altitudes of more than 2000 meters high. There, the Alpine vegetative stadium offers us almost lunar landscapes. On top of this, we will enjoy one of the best pleasures in this life ... sleep in a “hotel” with more than 1000 stars! We will camp next to a glaciar lake, 2,500 meters high. Ready for the adventure?  

The plan 

Day 1: Departure from Barcelona towards Pallars Sobirà. Once we have arrived at the Molinassa parking, we will begin the ascent towards "els Plans Sotllo" and continue towards the glacial lakes of Sotllo y Estats. This is where we will look for our spot in “this luxurious hotel with more than 1000 stars” and spend the night. 

We will keep some energy for our great ascent the next day. So, respecting a mountain schedule, we will have dinner early and rest. 

Day 2: Still on our mountaineering schedule, we will get prepared and have breakfast at around 6.00am- in order to start the ascent at 6.30am. We will continue our ascent in search of other glacial evidence such as the powerful “tartera” of this mountain (an area where loose rocks have fallen). Once we arrive at the “puerto de Sotllo" we will head to the "coll de la Cometa" which will indicate practically in a straight line the way up to Pica d'Estats. 

After a hard effort we will get our reward ... THE SUMMIT !! 

We will be on the roof of the Catalan Pyrenees where we’re going to allow ourselves a well-deserved rest enjoying the spectacular views. 

The orography of these mountains does not allow many options, so we will return by the same way up until we reach the cars. Than, we will return to Barcelona.

How do we get there? 

Sharing private cars from Barcelona (we'll split the cost of gasoline, tolls and parking expenses amongst all passengers). In the booking process, you'll be invited to let us know if you have a car,  how many people can come with you.

• Transportation: €35 to cover toll and gasoline expenses.
• Parking costs will be split between all passengers in the car.

Cancellation policy: 

If cancellation till 72h before the beginning of the activity, 50% of the total amount will be charged. If late cancellation (less than 72h before), full payment will be requested.
