The plan The Pedraforca (2,506m), is one of the most emblematic mountains of Catalonia. Its particular shape with its 2 twin peaks (some says it has a heart shape) have given birth to many legends for centuries. The hike to the top of the Pedraforca has become one of the mythical excursions every mountaineer should do in Catalonia. Located between the municipalities of Saldes and Gósol, in Berguedà, the Pedraforca mountain is part of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park and its surroundings were declared a "natural site of national interest". 

We'll do the classic climb. We'll start at the parking lot of the Mirador de Gresolet, we'll pass by the mountain shelter L. Estasen and we'll go down through its impressive slopes full of gravel.

Difficulty level: high.  

There are important parts of the hike where we have to climb steep walls using our hands. It is not suitable for people who suffer from fear of heights. A good physical condition and adequate material are required (footwear, above all).

How do we get there?  By shared private cars from Barcelona. During the booking process you’ll be invited to tell us if you have a car and how many people can come with you in the car. You can also meet us at the destination at 08:40 AM.

Every passenger will pay 15 euros to the driver for gas and tolls.

What to bring: 

Mountain footwear  

Sun protection (glasses, cap, sun cream)  

Picnic + snacks  

Water (1,5L)  

Walking sticks (recommended)  

Waterproof jacket (just in case)

Cancellation policy: if cancellation till 72h before the beginning of the activity, 50% will be charged. If late cancellation (less than 72h before), full payment will be requested.

Additional information:  depending on the weather conditions, and in order to ensure the maximum safety  and the greatest enjoyment of the participants, YEPALO  may  change the location of this activity.

El Pedraforca (2.506m), es una de las montañas más emblemáticas de Cataluña. Su forma especial con sus 2 cimas gemelas y su tartera bien visible desde lejos (unos dicen que tiene forma de corazón) han inspirado a muchas leyendas desde hace siglos. La subida del Pedraforca (piedra – horca) se ha convertido en una de las excursiones míticas de Cataluña. Situada entre los términos municipales de Saldes y Gósol, en el Berguedà, el macizo del Pedraforca hace parte del Parque Natural del Cadí-Moixeró y sus alrededores han sido declarados paraje natural de interés nacional.

Vamos a hacer la subida clásica. Saldremos del aparcamiento del Mirador de Gresolet, pasaremos por el refugio L. Estasen y bajaremos por su impresionante tartera.

Nivel de dificultad: elevada. 10 km con 1.000 m de desnivel. Hay unas partes importantes de trepadas con fuertes desniveles. No es apta para personas que tienen vértigo. Se requiere una buena condición física y un material adecuado (calzado, sobre todo).

Número máximo de participantes: 8

¿Cómo llegaremos ahí? Compartiendo coches particulares desde Barcelona. En el proceso de reserva, te preguntaremos si tienes un coche y cuántas personas pueden ir contigo. También puedes encontrarnos directamente allí a las 08h40. Cada pasajero le pagará al conductor €15 para cubrir gastos de peajes y gasolina.

Qué llevar:  Zapatos de senderismo (caña alta), sombrero, agua (1,5L), picnic, crema solar, bastones para caminar (opcionales pero recomendados).

Plan B  En caso de malas condiciones de tiempo por esta zona que nos impidiera hacer la salida, haremos otra salida de dificultad parecida.

Cancelaciones: si cancelas hasta 72 h antes de la actividad, 50% son debidos. En caso de cancelación de última hora (menos de 72 h), el importe total será requerido.
