From mountain to the sea- Hiking in Penedès

The plan 

We’ll go for a hike across El Parque de Foix between the Alt Penedès and Garraf regions to see the magnificent Castle of Castellet with wonderful views over the bucolic Pantà de Foix and its beautiful waters and rich forest landscape.

We’ll walk on paths through vineyards and the remains of old farmhouses, between the forest and the calcareous rocks of the area, painting the landscape reddish and grey colors. Amazing panoramic views of the entire coastline will accompany us all the way.

We’ll finish our hike arriving at Vilanova y la Geltrú, known as Havana Chica for its majestic palaces, mansions, and gardens from the Colonial times.

And we’ll end up enjoying one of its wonderful beaches ... with a refreshing splash!!

How do we get there?

By train from Sants station in Barcelona. The R4 train (direction Sant Vicenç de Calders) leaves at 07:52 AM. We’ll arrive at the Arboç station at 08:59 AM.

We’ll return from the Vilanova i La Geltru taking the R2 sud (direction Estació de França). The exact time will depend on our hiking pace.

What to bring?

• Covid: Mask + hand sanitizer
• Hiking shoes
• Sun protection (glasses, cap, sun cream)
• Picnic + snacks
• Water (mínimum 1,5L)
• Walking sticks (recommended)
• Waterproof jacket (just in case)

Cancellation policy

If cancellation till 72h before the beginning of the activity, 50% of the total amount will be charged. If late cancellation (less than 72h before), full payment will be requested.

COVID19: In case of being positive for coronavirus or having to quarantine for having been in contact with a positive, 100% of the down payment is refunded (presenting medical documentation). In case of official mobility restrictions implemented by the government, a 100% refund will also be made.
