Exploring Fuerteventura: from 5 to 9 days of hiking, chill time and optional surf

I've booked apartments from April 29th until May 7th. Activities will take place from April 29th to May 4th. You can enjoy free time on the island from May 5th to May 7th. If you wish to arrive earlier or depart later, there's no problem. Contact me via WhatsApp at +34699444539 if you need assistance booking extra nights. If you plan to arrive after April 29th, send me a WhatsApp message with your dates, and I will provide you with the corresponding price.

The plan

Let’s discover the fantastic island of Fuerteventura at a relaxed pace. We'll embark on gentle hikes, visit villages, savor local gastronomy, and witness amazing sunsets.

Here are some of the places we can or will visit during our stay:

• The peaceful dunes of Corralejo.
• Betancuria, the old and typical capital of the island, along with a secret nearby hike.
• The coves of Ajuy and the beautiful natural swimming pools of Aguas Verdes.
• The village of Lajares and the surprising crater of Calderón Hondo Volcano.
• The turquoise waters of Lobos Island.
• Popcorn Beach.
• The wild beaches of Cofete in the south.
• Live music and nightlife in Corralejo.
• The cliffs of El Cotillo.

We'll decide on the daily plans based on weather conditions.

And if you want to try surfing (or if you're already an advanced surfer), you can opt to switch hiking days for surfing days. This island offers amazing spots for beginners and advanced surfers. When signing up, indicate if you'd like to take surfing classes (additional charge) and your proficiency level.

About the surf courses

These are premium surf classes (beginner, advanced beginner, or intermediate level) with a maximum of six students per instructor. Each session lasts half a day, including transfers to the beaches where the course will take place (round trip). Video recordings of the surf lessons will be provided (for at least four classes) and analyzed to help you improve your surfing technique. Transfer from the apartment to the beach is included.

About hiking

The hikes and visits are easy (lasting between 2 and 5 hours), aiming to discover the most interesting natural places on the island. The mountain guide will determine the hikes locations based on the weather forecast.

Both hiking and surfing sessions are optional. If you prefer to rest quietly at the beach and enjoy the sun on any given day, the choice is yours.

Difficulty: 

Hiking: Easy, with hikes lasting between 2 and 5 hours and a maximum altitude gain of 300m.

Surf - beginner level, advanced beginner or intermediate. 

Accommodation and meals:

Located in the city center of Corralejo, the apartment is spacious (100 square meters), modern, and practical (rated 8.4 on Booking.com). It features a lovely rooftop and is conveniently close to bars, restaurants, and supermarkets. Each apartment has three bedrooms: one double bedroom with a double bed and two twin rooms. There is a private bathroom, bed linen, towels, and free WiFi available. The apartment also has an equipped kitchen, allowing you to prepare your meals.

Flights

Roundtrip flights to Fuerteventura are not included in the price. Each participant is responsible for booking their flight from their city of origin (Barcelona or elsewhere). From Barcelona, there are regular flights with Ryanair, Vueling, and Iberia. You can compare rates through the website Skyscanner, but I advise you to make reservations directly on the airline's website.

Our guide, Moshe, will arrive on April 29th (Vueling Bcn 07:15 - Fuerteventura 09:35) and depart on May 7th (Vueling Fuerteventura 20:25 - Barcelona 00:30+1).

If you wish to arrive before April 29th or depart after May 7th, it's possible. In that case, contact us, and we can assist you in finding extra nights.

Getting from the Airport to the Apartment

If there's no available driver to pick you up at the airport on your arrival date, you can easily reach the apartment by bus (approximately €8).

PRICES

• April 29th to May 3rd: 5 Days/4 Nights: €510
• April 29th to May 4th: 6 Days/5 Nights: €575
• Additional €50 per extra night (if staying on May 5th, 6th, or 7th independently, without planned hikes or visits; surfing classes can be added for those days)
• €45 extra per surfing class

Deposit: 250€

The remaining amount will be paid in cash upon arrival.

Prices includes:

• Accommodation

• Hikes with an official mountain guide (from April 29th to May 4th)

• Car rental and gasoline

• Insurance in case of accident and civil liability

Not included: 

• meals

• plane ticket (there are cheap plane tickets with Vueling and Ryanair)

• Boat to Lobos island (+€20)

• Any other expenses not stipulated in the "Prices Include" section

•Surfing classes: +45€ per class including material for surf lessons (wetsuit, board, leash, reef boots etc.), Transfer from the villa to the beach where the surf course takes place (round trip),  maximum 6 students per instructor, video analysis of the surf lessons (if you tyake 4 classes or more) and delivery of the videos

Maximum participants: 14

Cancellation policy:

If you cancel up to 15 days before the activity, 50% of the total amount is due. In case of last-minute cancellation (less than 7 days), the full amount will be required. If we find someone to take your spot upon cancellation, we will provide you with a voucher for part or all of the amount paid, which you can use for a future activity (valid for 3 months).
