The remaining amount will be paid 2 weeks before the start of the activity. 

[IMPORTANT INFORMATION: in order to participate to this activity, it is necessary to have participated to a previous activity with us with a positive elevation gain of more than 1000m or to proof you have a similar experience on your own. This way, we can assess whether your current fisical condition corresponds to the requirement of this activity. ] 

We'll enjoy an amazing circular trekking route to discover 3 natural parcs in the Pyrenees; each one, in a different country: the Parc Natural de l'Alt Pirineu (Catalonia - Spain), the Parc Natural Comunal Comapedrosa (Andorra) and the Parc Natural régional Pyrenees Ariégeoises (France). We will climb to the highest summits; Pica de Estats (3,143m, the highest peak in Catalonia and l’Ariège), Comapedrosa (2,942m, the highest peak in Andorra) and Pic de Tristagne (2,878m).

We'll stay in unique mountain refuges along the way. It’s the best way to discover the wonderful landscapes surrounded by peace, tranquility and high mountain in its purest form. Ready for the adventure?  

The plan 

Keep in mind that it is a high mountain trek and that depending on th weather forecast and on the group, the guide may change part of this plan for the greater safety of the entire group.  

Day 1: Departure from Barcelona by car towards Arinsal (Andorra). We'll leave the cars there and take cabs to el Serrat where we'll spend our first night. Check of the backpaks and material. 

Day 2: El Serrat to refuge of Els Estanys Fourcats + hike up to the summit of Tristagne (2878m)

Distance: 11.7 Km; Elevation gain: +1470m/ - 545m

Day 3: Refuge of Els Estanys Fourcats to Gîte Mounicou 

Distance: 17,7 Km; Elevation gain: +336m / -1717m

Day 4: Gîte Mounicou to Refuge du Pinet

Distance: 8 Km; Elevation gain: +1220m / -50m

Day 5: Refuge du Pinet to Refuge Valferrera + hike up to Pica d'Estats (3143m) 

Distance: 12,6 Km; Elevation: +1100m/ -1400 m

Day 6: Refuge Valferrera to Arinsal + Hike up to Comapedrosa 2942m 

Distance: 15,7 Km; Elevation: +1236m/ -1559m

Than we will return to Barcelona by car.

Difficulty: High (experience in hiking of 8 hours a day with gain of altitude from 1000 to 1500m is required).

Total distance: 65,7Km

Total elevation gain: 5392m +

How do we get there? Sharing private cars from Barcelona. In the booking process, we will ask you if you have a car and how many people can go with you. Each passenger will pay the driver €25 to cover tolls and gasoline.

Accommodation and meals: we’ll sleep the first night in a hotel at Serrat (rooms of 2-3 pax) and 4 nights in high mountain refuges on half board basis (sleeping, dinner and breakfast). There is the option of ordering a picnic in each of the shelters with a total supplement of + €48 for 4 meals (highly recommended). The shelters are equipped with toilets and showers (hot water can have a supplement of € 2 approx.) They have shared rooms with bunk beds. The location of each of the shelter is awesome (1000 star hotel!)

What to bring: 

Mountain footwear (vibram-type sticky sole, with goretex-type waterproof membrane and with a cane that protects the ankles is highly recommended)

Sun protection (glasses, hat, sun cream and lip protection)

Mountain clothes suitable for high mountains (breathable and comfortable)

Waterproof jacket (required)

Fleece + down (or synthetic) jacket (even though it's summer, you have to take into account at this altitude, it can be quite very cold)

Gloves, hat and buff

Spare clothes to change in the shelter

Headlamp / flashlight (spare batteries)

Sleeping bag (thiny as there are blankets in the refuge)  

Picnic and snacks for 5 days (unless you choose full board for the days at the shelter)

Water (1,5L)

Walking sticks (highly recommended)

Towel and flip flops

Backpack + backpack cover (40-45L approx.)

First aid blanket

Basic first aid kit

1 night in hotel and 4 nights in high mountain refuges. Half board basis for the 5 nights.

Transportation to Arinsal and back: € 25 to the driver to cover toll and gasoline expenses

Picnic in 4 shelters (total supplement of € 48 for the 4 picnics)

Additional expenses in the shelters (hot water in the shelters, extra drinks, etc.)

Expenses caused by the abandonment of the route for any reason or expenses caused by changes in the route for security reasons (transfers, changes in shelters, etc.)

Cancellation policy: 

If you cancel up to 30 days before the activity, we'll send you a voucher so that you can use 100% of the down payment for any further trip.

If you cancel between 29 and 8 days before the activity, the payment of 50% of the total value of the trip be required. In case of last-minute cancellation (7 days or less), the payment of the total value of the trip will be required.
