Canyoning at Montserrat - Tres en Ratlla - dry canyon

 We will make the descent of the canyon called "tres en Ratlla" (also called "Canal Roja"). It is a very funny and varied dry canyon that is located in the beautiful Sierra de Montserrat close to Barcelona. 

There are more than 10 rappels, some of which are over 25 meters high. It is a very progressive activity, starting with short rappels and, as we’ll progress, the rappels are becoming higher. It’s a perfect activity to improve your technique if you’ve already done some rappelling before. 

Above all, the surroundings are wonderful and this activity offers a different way of getting to know the “Sierra de Montserrat” and its extraordinary geological bubbly shapes. 

We will start with a nice hike of 1h15 (going up) to get to the starting point of the canyon, and after the descent we’ll have about 20 more minutes of walking to get back to the cars.

Expected time of return to Barcelona 17h00-19h00 (depends on our pace, ...)

Difficulty:  Intermediate. The activity is long and therefore requires a minimal physical condition. It is suitable for people who are used to walking for more than 4-6 hours. It is not suitable for people with fear of heights (there are rappels over 25m). 

How do we get there? By shared private cars from Barcelona. During the booking process you’ll be invited to tell us if you have a car and how many people can come with you in the car. Each passenger will pay €7 to the driver to cover gas and tolls expenses. You can also meet us on the spot at 09:00AM. 

Bring walking shoes, water, picnic, snacks, sunscreen, thin gloves (optional).

Cancellation policy: if cancellation till 72h before the beginning of the activity, 50% of the total amount will be charged. If late cancellation (less than 72h before), full payment will be requested.
