National Park of Aigüestortes
Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici is the only National Park in Catalonia. It’s located in the heart of the Pyrenees and it’s the best place to discover the high Catalan mountains: summits above 3000 meters, lakes, rivers, canyons, wild animals and a big variety of plants.

What's the plan?
Here is the program of this 4 days trip: lakes, summits, amazing landscapes, a very cool mountain shelter with good vibes where we can chill out after the hikes.
Day 1: arrival at Sort.
We will go for an easy hike (600m level difference/14KM) through the ancient tracks around Sort and discover the villages, churches and picturesque hermitages of the area. If some of you, are motivated, we can also organize Rafting in Llavorsí on that day (€ 41 extra).
Day 2: 5h hike to the shelter of Amitges (+740M level difference). It is a really nice shelter with magnificent views and very good vibes. During the hike, we'll see various points of interest.
Espot - Lake of Sant Maurici - Waterfall of La Ratera - Refugi de Amitges.
Day 3:
We’ll go for a circular ascent to the peaks of Amitges (2848m) and Tuc de Saboredo (2829m) bordering the Amitges spiers and enjoying beautiful panoramic views. Level difference +620m.
Day 4: depending on our state of shape, we will go up to the peak of La Ratera, or we will approach the “Port de la Ratera”. In both cases we can enjoy some of the most beautiful views of the national park and its lakes. We will return to the Lake of Sant Maurici by a different route than we will have taken on the Friday and we will continue about 50 minutes more until the parking. Level difference: +650m / - 1300m.

Accommodation & Meals
We’ll stay the first night in a hostal at Sort and spend the 2 other nights in the mountain shelter of Amitges, located inside the Nacional Park. Breakfast is included in the price. For the other meals, you can bring you own food or choose the half (+€21 per night) or full board (+€34,70 per night).
How do we get there?
We'll be sharing private cars.
When you sign up, you'll be invited to let us know if you have a car and how many people can come with you.

Good to know
To our greatest delight, we'll be staying at quite a remote place in the middle of the nature. There are no ATM (or bank), so please make sure you bring enough cash money and that your car fuel tank is full enough. ;) In most places of the park, there is absolutely no mobile connection. Be prepared to be off-line:)

Cancellation policy
The deposit paid when signing up is not refundable, except if the activity is cancelled by the organizer. If the participant cancels between 7 days and 72 hours before the activity starts, 50% of the total amount is due.
